In India, mustard oil, desi ghee, and olive oil are used to make every other dish. You will definitely find these three things in every kitchen. However, nowadays people have become more conscious about their health, due to which they now look for some healthy options other than mustard oil and desi ghee. In such a situation, more cooking oils have started coming into the market in view of the increasing needs of the people.

These cooking oils are being used so much that instead of becoming healthy, people are falling prey to serious diseases. If you want to know how to keep your heart healthy and the whole body fit, then for this you first need to pay attention to your diet. Also, you have to pay attention to which cooking oil you are using for cooking.

Dietician Loveleen Kaur has recently told through a video on social media which oils you can use for daily cooking. These are the oils that are perfect for Indian food and Indian people. In the video, Loveleen said that you have to use Desi Ghee for roti and paratha. First, roast the paratha well from both sides and then apply ghee to it after removing it from the pan.

What should we use for tempering?

Dietician Lavleen Kaur further said that you can use mustard, sesame, or peanut oil for seasoning Indian food. This means that when you are seasoning lentils or frying any vegetable, you can use any of these three oils for that. Keep in mind that you have to use only Kachi Ghani oil for seasoning lentils or vegetables.

How to use olive oil?

Apart from this, if you want to use olive oil, you can use it to steam or sauté vegetables. Loveleen said that if you make these three a part of your diet in a balanced way, then your body will get the right amount of omega-3 and omega-6, which helps in keeping you healthy. Also, Loveleen also said that Indians who live abroad can use avocado or grape seed oil for tempering. You do not have to use canola, sunflower, safflower, vegetable, and palm oil.
