Leaders of the Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) have criticized the YSRCP for starting the “Fee Struggle” program on February 5 and described it as a political strategy rather than a program for the benefit of students.
TNSF Tirupati district president Kotte Hemanth Royal, Chittoor district president Thyagaraju, State Secretary R. K. Naidu, and city president Venkatesh Yadav accused the YSRCP of deceiving students at a news conference at Sri Venkateswara University.
They said that previous Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy caused problems for students by delaying payments and renaming the current tuition refund program “Vidya Deevena.”
Additionally, they said that in order to ensure that students get their degrees, the present administration has already approved Rs 788 crore to settle outstanding debts. The leaders promised to take tough measures if such problems continue and cautioned universities against bullying students for tuition. The gathering was attended by a number of TNSF members.
