Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested parole jumper Chandrakant Jha. Chandrakant Jha had committed 18 murders. Along with this, his body pieces were thrown everywhere in the city. Who was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court in 2013. In the year 2023, Chandrakant got parole for 90 days.

When Chandrakant did not return even after the parole was over, the police registered a case and started investigation. The police was searching for him for the last several months. Still no clue was found.

On what basis was parole granted?

Chandrakant had argued in the court that he was the only male in his family and had three daughters. Being the father, he is responsible for the marriage of his elder daughter. With this, Jha said that he wants to re-establish social relations with the family. The court had ordered Chandrakant Jha to give a surety bond of Rs 25,000 and two surety bonds of the same amount. After which he was given parole.

Documentary has been made on Chandrakant

A documentary based on these murder stories of Chandrakant Jha was also released. The name of this series is Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi. This documentary was released on Netflix. Chandrakant Jha committed the first murder on 20 October 2006. After this the series of murders started.

Chandrakant was a serial killer who used to kill people by cutting off their heads and keep the body in front of the gate of Tihar Jail. He used to write a letter along with every dead body and keep it near the dead body and challenge the police. This case not only troubled the Delhi Police but every Delhi resident was afraid of it.
