[India], New Delhi, January 18: The ‘Career Edge Scholarship’ was introduced today by NIIT Limited (Ticker Symbol: NIITLTD), a prominent skills and talent development organization, to empower BE/BTech students in their last semester. By providing merit-based scholarships for enrollment in NIIT’s renowned Full-Stack Development with GenAI Honours Program, this program tackles the urgent demand for employability.

The fellowship bridges the gap between academia and the business world while resolving placement worries by providing final-year engineering students with in-demand skills in Full-Stack software engineering coupled with GenAI.

The program costs Rs. 1,10,000 plus GST in total. The sole entry cost required of eligible students is Rs. 10,000 + GST, and they may be eligible for scholarships of up to 100% depending on their academic standing and the results of their in-person interactions. Programs start on or before February 28, 2025, and registration is available from January 14 to January 31, 2025. BE/BTech students having a cumulative score of 50% or more during the first seven semesters, no backlogs, and a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10th and 12th Standard will be given scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis.

This curriculum, which is outcome-driven, combines professional, technical, and engineering experience to develop holistic capabilities. Students get practical experience with coding, object-oriented programming, databases, and full-stack development via more than 100 challenges, 10 projects, and drill-based practice with over 10,000 lines of code.

The curriculum begins with the basics and moves on to more complex subjects including creating end-to-end web apps using Java, React, RESTful APIs, and Spring Boot. Additionally, learners use GenAI tools to refine solutions, create test cases, and simplify processes. The 34-week program trains students for high-demand positions including Full-Stack Developer, Front-end Developer, Back-end Developer, and Software Engineer.

By enrolling in this program, students get the same skills that top businesses want to develop in their entry-level employees, guaranteeing they are prepared for the workplace from day one.

“At NIIT, we understand the difficulties final-year engineering students face as they get ready to enter the workforce,” said Pankaj Jathar, CEO of NIIT Limited. Our method of connecting their goals with possibilities is the Career Edge Scholarship for NIIT’s renowned Full-Stack Development with GenAI Honours Program. This program, which has a great record of placing all qualifying students since its start, gives students the multiskills that employers actively seek, equipping them for a variety of professions in a fast changing technological context.
