Brits have been set a difficult challenge which involves spotting an elusive figure within a matter of seconds.

Spin Genie has unveiled another brain teaser which involves fun patterns, crystals and Aztec-themed shapes. The company, which creates online games for real money, features an array of games on its website. To crack this puzzle, participants must try and locate the missing cane within the colourful picture.

Participants must be laser-focused and have 20/20 vision to even have the slightest chance of the correct answer. The tricky challenge asks players to find the crane, among a series of arranged relic symbols, within ten seconds.

The difficult task might require some people to zoom in for a chance to find it. Players need to have precision and a keen eye for detail. Do you think you can find the missing crane? If the task is proving difficult to solve, then you should turn your to the black background, .

Another clue involves turning your attention to the bottom right corner of the image. According to Spin Genie, if you spot the crane then you have a larger IQ than over 80% of the population.

Marcel Danesi, professor of semiotics and anthropology at the of Toronto, explained the reasons behind why some people enjoy brain teasers so much. He said people enjoy the "thrill of the hunt" and said it also helps "stimulate" the brain, reports Readers Digest. He said: “Puzzles are small-scale versions of this ‘quest for understanding,’ even though there is nothing new at the end of the hunt when a solution is uncovered. It is the hunt itself that is likely to stimulate various areas of the brain that involve discovery and a sense of satisfaction at once.”
