According to the report, there are 488 million internet users in rural India, which constitutes 55% of the total internet population of the country. This growing number shows that digital content in Indian languages ​​has boosted internet access in rural areas.

Mobile phones have an important contribution in promoting internet usage across the country. People in urban areas are using modern devices like smart TVs and smart speakers, while in rural areas, the use of OTT videos, music streaming, and social media is increasing.
