Kenny Law , best known for his role on Moonshiners , has passed away at the age of 68. The news of the Virginia-based distiller’s death was shared by Law’s Choice Distillery in a Facebook post on Wednesday, January 15.
“With heavy hearts, we announce that Everett ‘Kenny’ Law passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones,” the post read, accompanied by a photo of Kenny. “We will share his obituary soon. Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and prayers.”
Kenny’s cousin, Henry Law, who co-ran Law’s Choice Distillery, told TMZ that Kenny died in a local hospital after battling several health issues, including heart problems and diabetes. He had recently been hospitalized due to a blood infection.
No official cause of death has been announced.
Kenny was a beloved figure on Moonshiners, the long-running Discovery series that premiered in 2011 and is now in its 14th season. The show follows individuals in Appalachia who continue the 200-year-old tradition of making moonshine, as described in the official series synopsis.
