Thankfully, the group members were quick to suggest their own tried-and-tested solutions, with one proving to be extremely popular.

One person suggested: "One sided razor blade, carefully, at an angle then Hob Brite. That's what I do."

Another said: "Hob brite is good," while someone else echoed: "Hob bright and a hob scraper you can get them from amazon. Amazing bit of kit and doesn't scratch."

"Try hob brite," suggested someone else.
