New Delhi:- From time to time in India, people have decided to retire from their household life and become monks and nuns. According to a recent case, Rakhi, the 13-year-old daughter of a person working in a petha factory in Agra, decided to become a Sadhvi by taking initiation at Juna Akhara in Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
Rakhi is a resident of Tarakapura village in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. After retirement, there is a very happy atmosphere in Rakhi's family and village. Saint Kaushal Giri of Juna Akhara, who initiated Rakhi, has been expelled from the Akhara Council for 7 years. According to the guidelines of the Akhara, a minor person cannot be made to retire. Therefore Rakhi was sent back to her home from Mahakumbh. Let us know what are the rules for taking Sannyasa.
First of all, to take Sannyasa, we have to search for a person from whom we can take initiation and take Sannyasa. Only a Guru can initiate a person into Sanyas. It is not very easy to take Sannyasa because after becoming a Sanyasi, a person has to give up all kinds of material and financial worldly attachments and spend his life completely in the service and worship of his favorite God.
After taking Sannyasa, one has to sacrifice one's family and all relatives and relationships. Sannyasis should eat food at one time and follow celibacy. Sanyasis eat their food either by begging or by cooking it themselves. Sannyasis have to sleep on the ground. Cannot stay at any one place for long. One has to take the help of a monk or some monastery or ashram etc.
A person taking Sannyasa has to first offer his own Pind Daan. After this the person becomes completely separated from worldly attachments. The Sanyasi has to keep matted hair on his head and also has to wear the sacred thread. A monk should always have punishment in his hands. The female monk has to take off her case herself and offer her Pind Daan.
In such a situation, women should not take sannyasa but in this modern era there is no significant difference left between men and women. Women are equal partners in every work of men. There are many types of Sanyasi like Kutichak Sanyasi, Bahudak Sanyasi, Hans Sanyasi, Paramahamsa Sanyasi.
