Financial assistance for empowerment: Under this scheme, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) will provide an amount of Rs 1 lakh when the girl turns 18.

Combatting female foeticide: One of the key objectives of this scheme is to reduce gender inequality in the state by providing financial incentives.

Eligibility Criteria:

The beneficiary's family must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh.

The girl's birth must be registered under this scheme.

Parents must ensure compliance with the prescribed conditions to avail of financial benefits.

Registration at Birth:

Parents will receive Rs 5,000 upon registering their daughter's birth under the scheme.

Immunization:

Once the girl's immunisation is complete, the family will be given Rs 1,250.

Primary School Enrolment:

Upon successful enrolment and completion of primary school, the family will receive Rs 3,500.

Enrolment in secondary school:

When the girl gets enrolled in secondary school (up to Class 8), the family will get Rs 3,750.

Insurance benefit at age 18:

When the girl turns 18, she will get a maturity benefit of Rs 1 lakh under the insurance cover.
