is renowned for their dupes of and makeup, and their latest product has left fans stunned.

It seems as if the bargain retailer doesn't miss a trick when it comes to creating bargain alternatives of viral products - and now they have jumped on the Dr Jart bandwagon, creating their own version of the much loved Cicapair Colour Correcting treatment.

The treatment has been doing the rounds on , with skincare gurus hailing the powerful product that instantly removes redness from the skin. But for £40 a jar, it's pretty pricey.

However Aldi were quick off the mark and formulated their own version - for just £4.99, and it's been getting a lot of love online. So, I decided to see for myself how well it compared to the big-name product. I do suffer from spots and red patches, so if I can save myself £35 a pop, I am all for it.

I am also a huge fan of the Dr Jart colour-correcting treatment, so I was intrigued to see if Aldi had done what they promised, and released a product as good as the original. I knew it would be hard to compare, but the results left me stunned. Here's how I got on...

It's already a winner for many reasons thanks to the low price, being £35 cheaper and a massive saving of 88%. However, it may leave many sceptical due to it being so cheap. Aldi's version is almost identical to the Dr Jart version, formulated with Tiger Grass, Arnica, Panthenol, and Vitamin B3, and shoppers have called it "amazing" while others have said they "noticed a difference overnight".

At first glance, the two products look almost look the same, both in glass jars and both a very similar hue of green. However the Dr Jart one just gives off a little more of a luxury vibe as it comes with a spatula to apply it to your face, as well as a plastic cover inside the jar to cover the product, while the Aldi version just had a foil disposable covering on top.

When I placed both products onto my hand to test, it was clear the Dr Jart one was a lot thicker like a paste, while the Lacura version was a little runnier more like a cream. Any Dr Jart Cicapair fan will know a little goes a long way, as putting too much of the thick paste on can leave you looking like you have been embalmed (yes, I found out the hard way too).

When I applied the Lacura product to my face to cover the red patches I was blown away. It gave the exact same outcome as the Dr Jart version. Albeit, you have to use a little more, but it had pretty much the same effect. It gave the same colour-correcting outcome, and my face looked flawless and all one shade.

For the price, it really is impressive, and I think it's a seriously strong contender to the real deal. After trying it out, I am left a huge fan, and the pot is a fairly decent size so it will last me a long time. While the Lacura version isn't as luxurious as the Dr Jart one, as it comes without a spatula or a protective plastic covering, it certainly does the same job. However, like all good Aldi items, they're only limited edition, so you'll have to be quick to get your hands on one.

Aldi's NEW Lacura Colour Correcting Treatment is available in stores nationwide now, while stocks last.
