Bengaluru: Govindpur Police Station has arrested two miscreants who entered the house of a drug dealer and threatened his pregnant wife and looted gold jewellery. Mohammad Shabaz Khan of DJ Halli and A. of T. Dasarahalli. Suraj has been arrested, while the police is searching for another absconding accused. A total of goods worth Rs 7.44 lakh including 48.06 grams of gold jewellery, Rs 2.96 lakh in cash and 1 bike have been seized from the accused. Officials said that a few days ago, the accused had committed this incident in the house of a drug dealer on 13th Cross Road near Govindpur.

The businessman's relative turned out to be the conspirator

Afrid, a relative of the drug dealer, was a friend of both these accused. It was Afrid who had conspired to commit theft by telling that there was money and gold jewelery in his relative's house. Under this, money was looted by entering the house on January 27 and threatening to kill the pregnant wife.

Caught because of auto driver

While running away after the robbery, the drug dealer's wife started screaming for help. Hearing the scream, her husband and relatives came running. Fearing this, the accused started running away. Accused Shabaz got into an auto parked nearby and immediately showed the driver a knife and asked him to leave. After going a short distance, the auto driver saw a police vehicle near the Cantonment Railway Station.

Then, to trap the thief, the driver immediately collided his auto vehicle with the vehicle. The police immediately chased the auto. Then the driver stopped the auto and ran away shouting 'thief-thief'. Frightened by this sudden incident, Shabaz also started running away from there. Finally, Hoisal police caught him and took him to Highgrounds police station. Officials said that the entire truth came out during the interrogation there.
