Agra. A great news has come to light for the people of Uttar Pradesh. The Atalpuram Township scheme launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now giving the common people of Agra a chance to realize the dream of cheap housing. This scheme can prove to be beneficial especially for middle and low income group.

Place and connectivity of the scheme

Atalpuram Township is being developed between Kakua and Bhandai villages on the Agra-Gwalior highway. This area is not only close to the major sites of Agra, but also provides great connectivity: its distance from the Taj Mahal is only 12 km, while the distance from Agra Airport is 15 km.

Application process

Start: Registration will start from Friday.

Medium: Only online applications will be valid.

Registration Fee: ₹ 1100 brochure fee, along with 10% (general class) or 5% (reserved class) advance amount of plot value. Plots will be allotted through lottery system. This process ensures transparency.

Reservation policy

Keeping in mind the social justice by the government, special reservation has been fixed for the plots: SC – 21%, ST – 2%, OBC – 27%, MP, MLA, Freedom Fighter Family – 5%, 50+ Age Employees in Government and Security Services – 5%, local bodies employee (eg Housing Development, Municipal Corporation) – 2%, Divyanggjan – 5%(Kshetic Reservation), Senior Citizen – 10%(Tucker reservation)

A total of 322 plots in Sector-1 are being made available for online sale. These plots are classified under various categories:

EWS (33-40 square meters)- Total plots: 81, rate: ₹ 29,500 per sqm, reserved class registration fee: ₹ 59,000, General Class Registration Fee: ₹ 1,18,000

LIG (41-50 square meters)- Total plots: 78, rate: ₹ 29,500 per sqm, reserved class registration fee: ₹ 73,750, General Class Registration Fee: ₹ 1,47,500

MIG-1 (51-75 square meters)- Total plots: 75, rate: ₹ 29,500 per sqm, reserved class registration fee: ₹ 1,10,625, General Class Registration Fee: ₹ 2,21,250

MIG-3 (101-150 square meters)- Total plots: 80, rate: ₹ 29,500 per sqm, reserved class registration fee: ₹ 2,21,250, General Class Registration Fee: ₹ 4,42,500
