K-drama star and former Girl's Day member Hyeri is reportedly in a relationship And it did not take long for it to make headlines! With this news making the rounds, many believe she has left the whole Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee drama far behind. It has been alleged that she is dating dancer and choreographer 34-year old Woo Tae (real name Chae Woo Tae). According to multiple entertainment industry sources on July 1 KST, the two have been dating for over a year.

Hyeri's love life in the headlines again

The two reportedly met while working on the 2023 film Victory, in which Hyeri starred as the spirited leader of a rookie cheerleading squad called the Millennium Girls. Her routines - set to iconic tracks like Diva's Why Are You Calling Me and Deux's Turn Around and Look at Me - were choreographed by Woo Tae alongside fellow dancer Kinki.

A source close to the couple shared, "Filming took place in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province. They grew close during choreography sessions, and after returning to Seoul, they began dating. Although they only recently started telling people around them, they’ve been in a relationship for nearly a year."

Another insider added, "It's a cautious relationship built on mutual respect. They've become each other’s emotional support through difficult times, which has deepened their connection."

Ryu Jun Yeol, Hyeri, and Han So Hee: A timeline of the relationship drama

After years of dating following their on-screen romance in Reply 1988, Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri ended their long-term relationship in November 2023. Just a few months later, in March 2024, Ryu was spotted vacationing in Hawaii with actress Han So Hee, setting off a wave of dating rumors.

Hyeri's cryptic Instagram story soon after fueled speculation, with many interpreting it as a subtle reaction to the news. Han So Hee responded candidly on her blog, confirming her relationship with Ryu Jun Yeol while firmly denying that she had been a "rebound." Ryu Jun Yeol's agency also released a statement acknowledging the relationship.

Despite the confirmation, the relationship lasted only two weeks after going public. The breakup and the whirlwind media attention surrounding it became one of the most talked-about topics in the Korean entertainment world.

While Han So Hee later opened up about the emotional toll the situation took on her, Ryu Jun Yeol remained largely silent - until later, when he explained that his silence was intentional, meant to avoid adding fuel to an already blazing public reaction.

Hyeri's agency responds to dating rumors

SUBLIME, the agency representing K-drama actress Hyeri, has responded to reports linking her to dancer Woo Tae, stating that they cannot confirm details related to her personal life. On July 1, a representative told Sports Kyunghyang, "As this pertains to the actor’s private life, it is difficult to verify."

About Hyeri and Woo Tae

Hyeri made her debut in 2010 as a member of the four-member girl group Girl's Day before successfully transitioning into acting. She most recently appeared in the drama Friendly Rivalry and is currently holding a fan meeting tour across 10 cities in Asia.

Woo Tae, meanwhile, rose to wider recognition through his appearance on Mnet's Street Man Fighter in 2022 and continues to work actively as a choreographer in the Korean entertainment industry.
