Refugee (2000), directed by J. P. Dutta, opened in theaters 25 years ago today, introducing the world to not one but two future stars. We are referring to Kareena Kapoor Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, who have developed as actors over the ensuing years and dazzled the public with their extraordinary skill and unrivaled on-screen identity. Bebo has posted captivating stills from the movie along with the caption, "25 years and forever to go … with heart, rainbow, and infinity emoticons," in honor of this significant career milestone. Let's go back in time to Kareena's very first interview with Sukanya Verma for Rediff.com in honor of this major occasion.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has always been Bollywood’s original diva. Over the years, she has evolved both personally and professionally. However, the beauty was just as optimistic in her first interview, conducted 25 years ago, as she is now. A little anxious, but very confident in herself. When asked how she feels about working at such a young age in a widely shared interview clip. In her first interview, Kareena shared with a smile, "I don't feel anything, so I am... I don't know what to say. After seeing the AV, what did I feel? Yeah, I felt that the film is going to be a huge success, and we all are going to be appreciated because we all have put in so much effort, and that's it. The film is going to be a very, very, very, very big success.”

Kareena’s first interview clip has gone viral once again, with fans admiring her youthful charm and natural confidence. One social media user showered Bebo with love in the comment section below, writing, "Kareena as a newcomer... looking so young... so fresh... sweet teenager... from then as a promising newcomer to today as a big star actress/a diva... she has had such a wonderful and glorious career... and in terms of career longevity, challenging roles, and wide range as an actress... she has had a more successful career than her elder sister Karisma Kapoor." Another user commented, "She looks so lovely—it's purely organic, and her confidence is amazing." One netizen joked, "She didn't feel anything; that's why she reached on the top," while another comment read, "She was so raw and innocent at that time." So stop feeling and start working with the laughing and teary eyes emoji.”
As Kareena celebrates 25 amazing years in her career, fans and peers extend their warmest congratulations.
