Kim Kardashian is ready to make a fashionable entrance into the film industry. The 44-year-old SKIMS founder is said to be taking on a villainous role in the forthcoming live-action Bratz movie, produced by Amazon MGM Studios. She is not only stepping in front of the camera but also taking on a role behind the scenes, joining the production team. Kim will collaborate with renowned producers Erik Feig, Julia Hammer, Jason Larian, and Jasmin Larian. Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment, will also join the team as an executive producer.

This move signifies a significant transition in her Hollywood career, as she continues to branch out from reality television into mainstream scripted entertainment. The
Bratz film remains closely guarded, with plot details and casting information yet to be revealed. It is also uncertain whether any original characters or cast members from the 2007 film will make a return. Nevertheless, the reboot is being promoted as a new chapter in the franchise, which first debuted in 2001 and has sold over 200 million dolls worldwide.

According to the
Variety report, the new
Bratz movie (distinct from the 2007 version) will be penned by Charlie Polinger and Lucy McKendrick. The pair is also involved in A24’s
The Masque of the Red Death, featuring Mikey Madison. So, anticipate a similar fun and edgy atmosphere.
While this marks Kim’s first direct engagement with
Bratz, the Kardashian-Jenner link to the brand is not new. For those unaware, her sister Kylie Jenner previously partnered with
Bratz, even becoming part of the official Bratz doll line in a 2023 collaboration that reimagined the classic characters with a contemporary twist.
