The makers wanted Sanjay Dutt in the role of Villain

The way Shah Rukh Khan’s character was named Ram and Zayed Khan as Laxman and then the character of Sunil Shetty was named Raghavan (Ravana). Due to this, the makers wanted to give the Ramayana feel in the minds of the fans somewhere. There is a scene in the film where Lucky hints for his home name to be Ramayana. The first makers wanted to take Sanjay Dutt as Raghavan, but due to the issue of dates, Sunil Shetty was later taken in this role. This was the fifth time when Sunil Shetty was cast as Villain.

Shahrukh Khan did not like the film’s name
Sunil Shetty had earlier played gray shades in beating, eagle, sports, and Rudraksha. Due to Shah Rukh Khan’s back injury, Farah Khan did not want Shah Rukh not to do stunts walking on the wall. Farah Khan threatened Shah Rukh Khan to complain to Gauri Khan when he did so. Few people know that Shah Rukh Khan did not like this name ‘Main Hoon Na’. Shah Rukh Khan found this name incomplete, but later when he heard the title track of the film, he started to find this title perfect.

Sohail-Hrithik got the role of Lucky earlier
