In a space often ruled by big stars and grand budgets, a group of young filmmakers from Ahmedabad is set to make their mark with a story close to the heart of countless Indian students.
Well Done CA Sahab, an indie Hindi feature produced by Figures and Frames LLP, will hit theatres across India on June 27, 2025 — coinciding with the release of Aamir Khan’s much-talked-about Sitaare Zameen Par.
At its core, Well Done CA Sahab shines a spotlight on the demanding world of Chartered Accountancy — one of India’s toughest professional courses — and the everyday struggles, triumphs, and life lessons that come with it.
The film is penned and creatively produced by CA Aaditya Trivedi, who swapped balance sheets for storytelling, while Sarvesh Kumar Singh handles direction and editing. Creative support also comes from Indie Productions, adding depth to the narrative.
The cast features Gopal Datt, Sayandeep Sengupta, Nishma Soni, Jyoti Kapoor, and Gaurav Paswala in key roles. Music for the film is composed by Sanchit Balhara, known for Bajirao Mastani, with sound design by Samiran Das, who worked on Pathaan.
Filmed largely in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas, the movie’s local setting and raw feel aim to strike a chord with audiences, especially within Gujarat’s vibrant student community.
Unlike major studio releases, Well Done CA Sahab is driven by word of mouth and the support of the CA fraternity and indie cinema lovers — a reminder that sometimes, heartfelt storytelling can hold its own alongside big-budget blockbusters.
