New Delhi: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started accepting online registrations for admissions to Class 6 for the academic session 2026-27.  Interested students or parents can start applying for NVS Class 6 admission 2026-27 for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) on the official website navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs. The last date to register for NVS Class 6 admission 2026 is July 29.

The organiser has announced that the JNVST Class 6 exams will be held in two phases. The first phase will be conducted on December 13 at 11:30 am. The second phase will be held at 11:30 am on April 11, 2026.  The JNVST Class 6 results 2026 will be released by the end of March 2026 for Summer-bound JNVs. The results for Winter-bound JNVs will be declared by May 2026.

How to register for JNVST Class 6 admission 2026?

Step 1: Open the official website of NVS at navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs

Step 2: Find the NVS Class 6 admission 2026-27 tab section on the homepage

Step 3: Check the JNVST Class 6 admission 2026 registration form

Step 4: Fill in the JNVST Class 6 registration form with all details along with academic and personal

Step 5: Pay the application fee, if any

Step 6: Scan and upload the required doucments including photograph

Step 7: Submit JNVST Class 6 admission form

Step 8: Take a printout of JNV Class 6 registration form for future need

Eligibility criteria

A candidate who is a resident of the district is allowed for admission to JNV in the same district. Candidates must have passed Class 5 are eligible. Candidate must not have been born before May 1, 2014, and after July 31, 2016, (both dates are inclusive).
