Mumbai: Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for sexually assaulting a horse at a riding academy in Maharashtra's Nagpur district, police said on Saturday.
According to details, the incident occurred on night of May 17 at Nagpur District Equestrian Association in the Gittikhadan area.
A security guard on duty spotted the accused trespassing on the premises, later he found the man allegedly sexually assaulting one of the horses. He subsequently informed his employer who lodged a complaint with the Gittikhadan police station, which has registered an offence under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
While examining the CCTV footage, accused, identified as Chotya Sundar Khobragade, was found committing the crime, officials said.
