India were crowned champions of the SAFF U-19 Men’s Championship 2025 after a dramatic 4-3 victory in the penalty shootout against Bangladesh, following a tense 1-1 draw in regulation time.

India struck early in the match with a stunning goal in the 2nd minute, but Bangladesh equalised just after the hour mark, setting the stage for a fiercely contested final. Both teams showcased relentless energy, pushing the tie into penalties.

The shootout saw high tension until Shami Singamayum stepped up for the decisive kick. He calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper, sealing the win for India.

With this, India lifted the 2025 SAFF U-19 trophy and continued their impressive form in South Asian youth football.
