In India, several crucial documents are necessary for everyday activities. These include the PAN card, voter ID, Aadhaar card, ration card, and passport. Without these documents, many essential tasks cannot be accomplished.
The Aadhaar card stands out as a vital document for accessing various services. Many government and private sector services require Aadhaar authentication for verification.
For tasks such as purchasing a SIM card or applying for a loan, you will need to verify your identity using an OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card. However, many individuals have not registered their mobile numbers with their Aadhaar.
Once you submit the necessary form, your mobile number will be updated in your Aadhaar record within 7 to 14 days, enabling you to utilize OTP services.
To link your mobile number, visit the nearest Aadhaar center. You will need to complete the Aadhaar update form with the required information. After that, biometric verification will be conducted, and a fee of Rs 50 will be charged.
