Bamburgh Castle Beach is a hidden gem located close to Alnwick, in the village of Bamburgh in . The beach is famous for its breathtaking beauty and its incredible that is over 1,500 years old. With its crystal-clear waters, abundant rock pools, sweeping sand dunes, and the impressive castle backdrop, and a small lighthouse, this beach is a place like no other.

Not only does the beach offer unmatched views of the castle, but it also provides stunning vistas of the Farne Islands and Holy Island (Lindisfarne) in the distance. is an unspoiled and uncrowded spot, cherished by local surfers, kite surfers, and the occasional horse rider.

Originally the site of a Celtic Brittonic fort called Din Guarie, the castle was later established as the capital of the Kingdom of Bernicia.

Over the centuries, the fortress witnessed its fair share of historical events, including Viking invasions, and has been home to kings, warriors, and legends.

The beach in itself holds a fascinating history, with it being the location of the first-ever lifeboat test.

Across from Bamburgh Beach, the Inner Farne Islands served as a home to hermits and monks from the 7th century, offering a window into the early Christian monastic traditions of Britain.

"White sand, blue sea, castle in the background and so clean. There was nothing I did not like! A must visit!"

Someone else described it as the 'best beach in the UK' and went on to write: "The beach itself is miles of beautiful sand with the beautiful backdrop of Bamburgh Castle.

"While you're strolling along you might even be lucky enough to see some dolphins a little way out in the sea."
