The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is set to premiere on Hulu and Disney Plus starting May 15, introducing viewers to Miranda McWhorter, a famed MomToker.
Miranda, who shares two children with her ex-husband Chase McWhorter-son Brooks and daughter Cohen-recently ended their marriage. The couple tied the knot soon after Miranda finished high school; she was just 20 years old and Chase 22 when they married in 2017.
Their relationship came under scrutiny in 2022, a year following the birth of their second child, when they became embroiled in a 'soft-swinging' scandal, initially denying any involvement.
Chase later came clean about their participation in "swinger parties" in an interview with Us Weekly in September 2024.
He revealed: "It all started during Covid. ... [It was] a bunch of our friends coming - couples - and then we'd all get trashed on alcohol and then, like, these games would come up.
"Spin the bottle or whatever. It was never predetermined that we were going to be doing, like, swinging. That's what we always thought was a little bit misrepresented in Taylor [Frankie Paul]'s story, as she presents it."
Following seven years of marriage, the couple decided to part ways, but Chase insists they remain amicable.
He commented: "I think we both realized that we'd gotten married a little prematurely, and that's why our relationship still is pretty, good [now], like, we're really cordial, really friendly.
"[I] still chat with her a lot, whenever she drops the kids off, and vice versa. I think it's working out really well, and we're kind of figuring out how to continue navigating that in a positive way."
Chase has stepped back from the Mormon faith and is now the co-host of the OnlyDads Podcast, alongside Brayden Rowley and Jordan Francis.
He is active on Instagram, where he recently shared a photo of himself with his new partner, Kate Racker. Miranda commented on the post, saying: "Gahhh I love her too."
