A fierce stand-off between staff and alleged shoplifters at the doors of a high street store, saw metal shopping baskets and crates thrown. Innocent shoppers looked on in horror as the would-be crooks began fighting with workers and a security guard, trying to prevent them from re-entering the store in Finsbury Park, north London.

The incident seemed to start off quite calmly with the security guard being heard in the video clip saying: "Take your stuff and go", but the men who have been thrown out of the store do not appear happy and reply back with "F**k you". The mobile phone footage then shows the security guard, wearing a yellow high-vis waistcoat, make what appears to be a chilling threat. He said: “You come next time and I’ll f**k your a**e up, okay? Call the police.”

The clip then shows the men through objects through the doors at the Tesco store, which saw the security guard retaliate by grabbing a empty plastic produce tray and throwing it towards them.

The customer, who asked not to be named, filmed the whole episode on his mobile phone, which showed the situation play out. The uniformed supermarket worker said: “So you are putting in your pocket the item (sic)”

The shocked man replied: “You saw me? You saw me put it in my pocket?”

The staff member added: “I saw you on the camera. Do you want me to bring the footage?” The shopper said: “Lets see. You saw me on the camera, put it in my pocket? Yeah that’s what you’re saying. You are going to look like such an idiot.”

But the adamant Tesco worker continued: “If you have put that in your pocket then I’m gonna call the police.” The customer replied: “I swear to you you are going to regret doing this, 100%”

After a delay the worker emerged and said: “Sorry for that.” The customer replied: “Sorry? That’s what you are going to do, just say sorry? Just so casually. Be as loud as you was when you were accusing me.

"Go around tell everyone you're f***ing sorry. Don’t just come out to me quietly and say sorry like a coward.”
