Important Announcement Regarding CUET-UG

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG has been rescheduled to commence on May 13, instead of the previously planned date of May 8.

This change was communicated late Tuesday night, with the NTA stating that city intimation slips will be available by May 7.

Although the exam was set to start on Thursday, the agency had not yet released the subject-specific date sheet.

Sources indicate that the NTA has recently completed the extensive task of administering the NEET-UG medical entrance exam, which faced scrutiny last year regarding its integrity.

This year's CUET-UG has attracted an unprecedented 1.35 million applications, serving as a crucial entry point for undergraduate admissions across the nation.

In a notable shift from the previous year, this exam will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.

The inaugural edition of CUET-UG in 2022 experienced significant technical issues, and due to multiple shifts for subject tests, scores had to be normalized during result announcements.

The exam was hybrid in its first iteration in 2024 but was canceled in Delhi just before it was scheduled to take place due to logistical challenges.
