Hollyoaks viewers are convinced Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) could be the next victim of DI Alistair Banks (Drew Cain) after she stumbled upon a shocking secret about her new beau.

The soap opera drama escalated when Diane, who had parted ways with her husband Tony Hutchinson () during the show's one-year leap forward, discovered Tony's new romance with Marie Fielding (Rita Simons).

Having moved on with the less-than-trustworthy DI Banks, Diane's suspicions were ignited in the May 5 episode when she spotted a lipstick in his car, leading to a confrontation where Banks confessed to having an unhappy marriage.
