But another raged: "This morning slagging Harry off on VE day have a day off why do they still care?" as a second agreed: "I see it's bash Harry day yet again!!! LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!!! The off switch it is."
Rylan said to the pair: "It's not great is it?" as Alison agreed: "It is terribly sad on any level, but if he thought that would be the way to get any reconciliation, I think he's quite deluded, and he effectively said his father was part of a government stitch up.
"And there is no doubt his face was on the front page of the Saturday papers, we're talking about it now so it is a distraction to the VE Day."
viewers were not impressed as the show's VE Day celebrations were interrupted by a debate about following his bombshell BBC interview. As Emma Willis, Rylan Clark dicussed Prince Harry's feud with King Charles with Gyles Brandreth and Alison Phillips, fuming viewers took to social media to share their fury.
One said: "why are we debating Harry's security issue on a day like today ! Jeez awful TV - he's gone and why as a tax payer would I want to pay security for him....that debate aside let's focus on what's important today." Another added: "He made his choice, he's a spoilt brat. Also he says he never asked to be born into it which is true, but he continues to trade off of it. No one would care about him if he wasn't royal, he'd just be another rich petulant brat! Grow up Harry!"
Rylan agreed: "And it's not just any old interview, it's an interview with BBC News, it's the state broadcaster, it's a big deal."
Gyles said: "Any interview he gives is a big deal and that is the reason why he won't be seen on the balcony today, he chose to step away from the royal family, he lives in California, if he was asked for a reconciliation and to 'come and join us on the balcony', the story wouldn't be about WWII and the veterans and commemorations, it would be 'oh, Harry is back,' and that is the difficulty with creating this media storm around himself, he becomes the story."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
