Obnews Tech Desk: If you are a software developer or koder, this news is very important for you. Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has recently made a big statement in a podcast interview. He said that in the next 12 to 18 months, most of the codes to Meta's LLAMA project will be prepared through Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to Zuckerberg, “AI is already performing as a better programmer than an average and now she has been able to write a large part of the code herself.”
Zuckerberg also claimed that AI will not only coding in the future, but will also be able to conduct a test itself and also improve the Bugs. This change can completely change the functioning of META, which makes it clear how serious the company is about AI technology.
META is currently developing several AI coding agents within itself. Zuckerberg reported that these tools are being built for internal use of the company, not to sell in the market. In particular, a coding agent and an AI research agent are being prepared to pursue LLAMA research, which will be fully added to the company's tool.
The opinion of other tech veterans has also come out regarding AI's coding role. Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, believes that by the end of 2025, almost the entire code will be written by AI. At the same time, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai said that he is writing 25% code AI here and according to Sam Altman of Openai, this figure has reached 50% in some companies.

However, Zuckerberg also said that AI is not fully prepared yet. He had earlier talked about 2025, but has now increased it by 2026. They believe that technology is moving fast but it will take time. “Every prophecy made about AI is not immediately true,” he added.
