Netizens seemed heavily divided over the voting process of Baeksang Awards’ specified category called the Popularity Award. It was disclosed that the system is possibly rigged and manipulation of vote shares were initiated to decide the winners. As of now, amidst the chaos, the voting for “PRIZM Popularity Awards” at the 2025 Baeksang Awards have been done.

Scrolling through ten days of voting process from April 23 to May 2, 2025 (KST), the much loved pair from tvN‘s superhit K-Drama, Lovely Runners, were conferred the 61st Baeksang Awards’ popularity awards.

Actor Byeon Woo Seok gained 2.4M, a maximum share of the 3.7M votes received.

Meanwhile, Kim Hye Yoon fetched an impressive 7.8M votes out of 18.4M votes registered.

Even the names registered in the runner-ups managed to bag a good share of votes. According to the listed male nominees, Park Bo Gum bagged 605K votes, Jung Hae In won 180K, Lee Jun Hyuk got 105K, and Dex received 87K votes.

In the female nominees segment, Girl’s Day fame Hyeri received 6.9M votes, meanwhile IU won 3.4M, NMIXX‘s Haewon got 40K, and Kim Tae Ri received 33K votes.
