PTC Web Desk:  The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2025 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate) tomorrow, May 4, in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm across various exam centres in India. Candidates are advised to follow the strict instructions released by the NTA in the official NEET UG 2025 information bulletin, including dress code guidelines and a comprehensive list of banned items.

The NEET UG 2025 admit cards have already been released and are available for download on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG 2025 Dress Code Guidelines

As per the NTA notification, candidates must adhere to the following NEET 2025 dress code while appearing for the examination:

  • Heavy clothing and/or long sleeves are strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates appearing in customary or cultural attire must report at least an hour before the last reporting time, i.e., by 12.30 pm, to allow sufficient time for proper frisking.
  • Shoes are not allowed in the exam hall.
  • Candidates may wear slippers or sandals with low heels only.
  • In cases where a deviation from the dress code was necessary due to medical or other unavoidable reasons, prior approval from NTA was required before admit card issuance.

NEET UG 2025: List of Banned Items at Exam Centre

All candidates will undergo mandatory frisking using highly sensitive metal detectors before entering the examination hall. The NTA has issued a strict list of items not allowed inside the exam centre under any circumstances:

  • Textual materials such as printed or written notes, bits of paper.
  • Stationery items like geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, erasers, log tables, electronic pens, or scanners.
  • Electronic and communication devices including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, etc.
  • Personal belongings like wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, and caps.
  • Timekeeping devices such as watches, wristwatches, bracelets, and cameras.
  • Metallic items and ornaments of any kind.
  • Food and beverages whether opened or packed, including water bottles.
  • Any item that can be used to facilitate unfair practices, including microchips, cameras, and Bluetooth-enabled objects.

Religious/Cultural Exceptions and Early Reporting

Candidates wearing articles of faith for religious or cultural reasons (such as turbans, hijabs, etc.) must report at the exam venue at least two hours before the last reporting time, allowing time for additional checks. If suspected devices are discovered concealed within such articles, the candidate may be asked to remove the item or be denied entry into the exam hall.

Important Note: The NTA will not make arrangements for safekeeping of any personal items or banned articles at the examination centres. Candidates are therefore advised not to bring prohibited items to the venue.
