Amanda Holden is hosting a new dating show, Cheat: Unfinished Business, which challenges eight couples who have split due to infidelity to reunite and possibly rekindle their romance in a sun-drenched paradise.

The first season, consisting of nine episodes, was released this Wednesday (April 30) on Netflix. It features personal trainer Liam and store manager Olivia, among others, grappling with the decision to continue their relationships despite their partners' history of cheating.

Liam and Olivia, both from Buckinghamshire, were together for a decade before Liam's unfaithfulness caused their breakup.

In the second episode, following a frank conversation with Olivia where she confronted him with proof of his infidelity, Liam laid down the challenge.

Olivia presented her ex with a photo of a woman who claimed to have slept with Liam while they were still together. Liam professed he had 'no clue' who the woman was, but Olivia persisted in seeking answers.

Liam was quick to defend himself, asserting: "That's bulls***. There's always going to be someone that's talking s***. You need to understand I only love you and I only care for you."

Olivia made her point forcefully: "But why don't I believe that? You've never fully committed to me. We've been together for 10 years, we haven't even done the step of moving in together."

Countering her claim, Liam snapped: "And why do you think that is? We've still got these underlying issues that always play a big part in our relationship. You're still out here trying to drop names on me."

Refusing to take all the blame, Olivia responded sharply: "So it's all my fault?"

Liam was adamant: "I'm not saying that." But he escalated things with an intense ultimatum, adding: "Listen, if we sort this s*** out here, I was considering putting a ring on that finger and taking it to the next level."

Emphasizing his affection yet frustration, Liam continued: "You're the best girl that I've ever been with my whole life. But if you're gonna continue to let outside people always affect you, trust me, just tell me man, I'm done."

Realising the gravity of the situation, Olivia said: "So that's the..."

Liam then declared: "That's the ultimatum Olivia. You either want to move forward with me Olivia, or you don't. I told you, I'm so sick of this s*** now. I really am."

Expert advice came from dating guru Paul C. Brunson back in the studio, who criticised Liam's approach as a "dangerous three-part combination. Denial, minimise her feelings, deflect."

He also cautioned that for their love to flourish, Olivia must "empower" herself.

Viewers were left aghast after a heated exchange on the popular show, slamming Liam's audacity as "nerve-wracking" and highlighting his alarming "red flag behaviour."

Escalating to social media for a venting session, one TikTok user expressed their disbelief saying: "It's the nerve that Liam has to say that he's sick of this s*** when she literally knows that he's cheated yet again."

Amidst the online uproar,X users, lashed out at the controversial TV personality.

"How dare you? You cheated and still have an ultimatum Are you mad #CheatUnfinishedBusiness," raged one viewer. (sic)

Another livid fan let their thoughts be known, tweeting: "Liam is a horrible man, I don't even know what to say #CheatUnfinishedBusiness." (sic)

A Netflix fan joined in, revolted by the pair in question: "Olivia and Liam? ? please get them off my screen #CheatUnfinishedBusiness." (sic)

And not mincing their words, another critic added: "Liam is full of s*** #CheatUnfinishedBusiness." (sic)

Cheat: Unfinished Business is streaming now on Netflix.
