Necessary materials to make Bhakarwadi (Bhakarwadi Recipe)
For flour:
- Besan – 1 cup
- Flour – 1 cup
- Oil-2-3 tbsp
- Salt – as per taste
For spices:
- White sesame – 1 tsp
- Poppy – 1 tsp
- Whole coriander – 1 tbsp
- Grapped dry coconut – 1 tsp
- Dry red chili – 4
- Turmeric – 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Amchur – 1 teaspoon
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Fennel – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Easy method of making Bhakarwadi (Bhakarwadi Recipe)
- First of all, mix gram flour and flour well with salt and oil and knead hard dough. Cover it with a wet cloth and keep it for some time.
- Fry fennel, cumin, dry chilli and whole coriander on medium heat in a pan. Then take it out in a separate plate and let it cool.
- Now fry mole, poppy seeds and coconut lightly in the same pan.
- When both the mixture cools down, add sugar, salt, turmeric, mango and garam masala and grind them coarsely. This spice is ready for stuffing.
- Divide the dough into three parts. Roll out a thick bread of every part. Apply light water on the bread and spread the spice from above.
- Roll the bread tightly and apply some water to stick the edge. Then cut the roll into small pieces with a knife.
- Heat the oil in the pan and deep fry these pieces until golden.
- Allow Bhakarwadi to cool down and then store in an air tight container. It does not spoil for 15-20 days.
- Serve it with tea or take it as a snack in travel, it makes every opportunity special.
