Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan is making news once more, but not for a recent movie release but for buying himself a grand new mansion in Qatar’s capital Doha.

Saif has purchased a new residence on “The Pearl,” a high-end island in Doha. This was announced in a press launch hosted by the Alfardan Group, and the actor cited Qatar’s stunning scenery, relaxed way of life, and strong sense of safety—attributes which he claimed weighed heavily in deciding to make this move.

“When I consider a holiday home or a second home, the three most important things for me are safety, looks, and accessibility. Qatar fits all those criteria,” said Saif Ali Khan.

He further added, “The idea of mansion  in an island is luxurious and stunning in itself. I enjoyed the vibe, the cuisine, the lifestyle, and the tranquility here.”

Calling the property his “home away from home,” Saif disclosed that he initially stayed at this place during a recent shoot and formed an emotional bond with the place.

Saif also disclosed that he wishes to bring his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their sons Taimur and Jeh to enjoy the beauty and peace of their new home in Qatar.

Although the actor’s move to purchase property in Qatar is being shown as a personal and private decision, there have been speculations that it could be linked to keeping him and his family safe, especially in the wake of a recent assassination plot outside his home in Mumbai. Nevertheless, Saif or his representatives have yet to officially comment on this rumour.

Other Overseas Properties

This new property adds to Saif Ali Khan’s portfolio of international homes, which already includes residences in London and Switzerland.

Currently, Saif resides with his family in an apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra area and frequently visits his ancestral royal estate, the Pataudi Palace, in Haryana.

Upcoming Film

Saif is also occupied with promotions for his forthcoming thriller Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which is being released on Netflix on April 25. He will play a thief in the movie, which also features Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta.
