Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Instruction from Director General of Police Kailash Makwani sent officers on surprise inspections of the police stations in their charge, officials said on Sunday. 

On Saturday evening, the DGP instructed all gazetted officers — IGs, DIGs, and SPs to inspect the police stations. The sudden arrival of officers caused quite a stir at police stations.

About 400 police stations were inspected overnight. Reports of police stations not working in a systematic manner will be sent to the headquarters. Gwalior IG Arvind Saxena checked two police stations, of which the Inderganj station in-charge, Dharmendra Singh, has reportedly been warned. 

Indore’s Additional Police Commissioner Amit Singh checked the Tukoganj police station. DIG Narmadapuram Prashant Khare reached the Sanchi and Salamatpur police stations of the Raisen district. Balaghat DIG Mukesh Srivastava inspected the Kiranpur police station. Likewise, DIG Bhopal, Rural, O.P. Tripathi inspected the BiaoraDehata and the RajgarhKotwali of Rajgarh district. 

Meanwhile, Rewa DIG Rajesh Singh Chandel reached the Gudh police station. All these officers went through the daily diary of the police station, store room, lockup, camera, attendance registers, status of investigation in the FIR, action on complaint applications, and every arrangement of the police station.

Police Commissioner conducts surprise inspection of police stations, checks registers and records

Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra on Sunday carried out surprise inspections at Jehangirabad, Aishbagh, Arera Hills and Crime Branch police stations.

The commissioner checked the relevant registers and records and issued necessary instructions.

Police Commissioner checked the documents related to disposal of complaints. He issued instructions for instant disposal of complaints while directing the concerned cops for identification of accused involved in cases of assault and stabbing. The senior cop was concerned over the pile of old and junked vehicles at police stations and asked the cops for their disposal as per the procedure.

Additional Police Commissioner, DCPs of all four zones and ACP’s also visited the police stations under their jurisdictions and issued necessary instructions. Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra said the cops have been asked to take instant action in cases of serious crimes while records of seized items etc should be properly maintained.
