Punjab Kings have won five and lost two out of their first seven matches this season. A win on Sunday will take them to the top of the Meanwhile, RCB have emerged victorious in four of their seven games this season. These two teams had faced each other on Friday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday in a rain-curtailed 14-over-per-side clash. Punjab won by five wickets, chasing down a 96-run target in 12.1 overs.

Predicted Impact Players for Punjab Kings
  • Prabhsimran Singh - The wicketkeeper-batter came in as the Impact Player in the last game, replacing Yuzvendra Chahal. Prabhsimran has not been consistent in IPL 2025, but he has often given his team some fantastic starts inside the powerplay.
  • Vijaykumar Vyshak - The Karnataka came in as the Impact Player in PBKS' first game of the season against Gujarat Titans and did an excellent job. His ability to bowl a variety of slower deliveries at the back end of an innings makes him hard to put away for the opposition batters.
  • Suryansh Shedge - The 22-year-old can hit a long ball even in pressure situations. He could play a key role in the second innings as a finisher for Punjab. He has not been able to make a mark in the couple of opportunities he has had with the bat in IPL 2025, but an impactful knock could be around the corner.
  • Praveen Dubey - The Azamgarh-born is a leg-spinner who has previously been a part of RCB and Delhi Capitals in the IPL. If the conditions help the spinners, he could form a lethal partnership with Chahal.
Predicted Impact players for Royal Challengers Bengaluru
  • Devdutt Padikkal - The southpaw has been batting at No. 3 for RCB in IPL 2025. However, he wasn't used in the last game. In a 20-over contest, Padikkal is expected to get back into the line-up. He has not been at his best but showed signs of returning to form a couple of games ago against Rajasthan Royals when he scored an unbeaten 28-ball 40.

  • Suyash Sharma - The talented leg-spinner could have a key role to play in Mullanpur. He has only picked up two wickets from six games so far this season, but RCB would want to back the youngster as he has a lot of potential.

  • Manoj Bhandage - The all-rounder who bats in the middle order and bowls leg-spin played in the last game against PBKS as an Impact Player. However, he wasn't used with the ball, and his outing with the bat wasn't memorable either.

  • Swapnil Singh - The 34-year-old bowling all-rounder has played 14 IPL games in the past. However, he is yet to make his maiden appearance in IPL 2025. Swapnil's all-round talent could be useful for RCB.
Expert opinion and final prediction
  • Home Advantage – PBKS have lost two games and won one out of the three they have played in Chandigarh this season. They defended the lowest total in IPL history against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game at this venue and that would give them a lot of confidence.

  • Recent Form – RCB have won three of their last four matches against PBKS.

  • Balanced Squad – RCB appear to have a more balanced side on paper. However, Punjab have two excellent spinners in their ranks in Chahal and Harpreet Brar.
