Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed district collectors across Madhya Pradesh to ensure that farmers do not face difficulties during the upcoming wheat procurement season. The directions were issued during a virtual interaction with district collectors following a state-level review meeting held in Bhopal.

According to the schedule shared during the meeting, wheat procurement will begin in the divisions of Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Narmadapuram from March 16 and continue until May 5. In the remaining divisions—Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal, and Sagar—the procurement process will be carried out from March 23 to May 12. Farmers will be able to complete their registration for procurement until March 7.

The Chief Minister asked district administrations to verify registered farmers, ensure adequate availability of gunny bags at procurement centers, and make arrangements for timely payments to farmers. He also emphasized the need to establish procurement centers within the stipulated timeframe and ensure that basic facilities are available for farmers visiting these centers.

Officials involved in procurement operations have been directed to receive appropriate training so that operational challenges can be addressed efficiently. District procurement committees have also been asked to hold regular meetings to resolve issues quickly. In addition, the administration has been instructed to provide updated and easily accessible information to farmers regarding procurement procedures.

During the interaction, Yadav also addressed other administrative matters. He asked district collectors to maintain contact with families whose members are currently living or studying in Gulf countries, in view of recent uncertainties in the region. Control rooms have been established at the Madhya Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi and at Vallabh Bhavan in Bhopal to assist residents of the state if required.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the “Sankalp Se Samadhan” campaign, under which around four million applications related to public grievances have reportedly been resolved so far. District-level camps under the campaign will continue until March 16, and collectors have been asked to closely monitor the process.

Yadav further directed officials to respond promptly to misleading or false information related to governance or public administration. He noted that district authorities should provide clarifications quickly, especially on social media platforms, to prevent confusion among citizens.

The Chief Minister also urged district officials to conduct surprise inspections at schools, colleges, and hostels during the ongoing examination period to ensure that examinations and preparations for the next academic session proceed smoothly. He encouraged district administrations to promote local innovation and explore initiatives such as homestay development and exhibitions highlighting achievements in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Additionally, Yadav stressed the importance of punctuality in government offices and asked collectors to conduct random inspections of attendance. He indicated that stricter administrative measures could be considered if improvements in adherence to office timings are not observed.
