Tata punch: Tata Motors is once again preparing to expand its portfolio and this time it is his hit micro SUV Tata Panch. According to reports, the facelift version of Tata Panch may be launched during the festive season in October 2025 this year.

Photos revealed during testing show that the look of Tata Panch facelift will be largely inspired by its EV version. Possible changes include features such as slim LED headlamps, new grille and front bumper design, C-shaped DRL, new alloy wheels. With all these features, the punch will look more modern and bold than before.

Internal changes will be seen.

The new punch has also paid attention to improving the interior. It will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. It will have a new 2-spoke steering wheel with glossy black finish and Tata logo. It will also have touch-based HVAC controls. These changes will make the cabin experience even more premium.

Engine and powertrain

There will be no major change in the engine options of the facelift. It will come with the same old, but reliable powertrain. It will get a 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which is capable of generating 86 bhp power and 113 Nm of torque. It gets a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Its CNG version will be able to generate power of 73.4 bhp and torque of 103 Nm. It is currently available only in manual, but AMT option can also be given in facelift.

The price may increase slightly.

Currently, the price of Tata Panch starts from Rs 6.20 lakh to Rs 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom). Due to changes in the facelift, its price may increase slightly. Currently, five variants of the punch are available- Pure, Pure-O, Adventure S, Adventure+S and Creative+.

With the facelift of Tata Panch, the company is also working on another new sub-4 meter SUV, which is ‘Scarlet’ codename. It will come between Panch and Nexon and will have both Ice and EV options available. Talking about the design, this SUV will come in a boxy look inspired by Tata Sierra.
