Glen Kamara (29) is one of many players signed by Stade Rennais last summer who will not be retained this summer.

The Finland international struggled following his €10m move from Leeds United, making 13 Ligue 1 appearances in the first half of the season. However, he failed to impress and was sent out on loan to Al-Shabab during the January transfer window.

That loan deal included a buy option and it is currently unclear whether it will be exercised or not. The team understands that the most likely scenario is a return to Rennes. However, should he return to Brittany, he is unlikely to stay there.

According to a report from The team, two Turkish clubs are interested in the midfielder, whose contract with The Rennes runs until 2028. Those two clubs are Besiktas and Samsunspor. Both have enquired about Kamara, whilst the MLS in the United States is also a potential destination.
